ABOUT US

Our Story

Zoë Fine Dining is a New American restaurant in Athens, Ohio. We serve classics with an unexpected twist and unexpected dishes with dependable flavor. Zoë is a bit of an out-of-Athens experience with our unique style and flair, but we’re also full of quirkiness — precisely in the Athens way. We’re eclectic. We’re imaginative. We’re sophisticated, but we’re also approachable. We serve just as much connection and community as we do crab cakes and wine.

Zoë brings dining to life. We make our food from scratch with fresh, local, and seasonal ingredients. Our wines and cocktails pair perfectly with our specials. Our staff provides some of the best service you can get in town. And our charming dining room atmosphere will be the finishing touch on your special and intimate evening.

Zoë means “life” in Greek. We believe that food is life. We see our food as the gateway to celebrate everything and everyone we cherish. So, here’s to the moments we won’t forget, with the people we will grow old with. And with that, we propose a toast — to life!

Zoë debuted in 2004 in the Eclipse Company Town of Athens County. Our origins will always be in our hearts and our logo, which features an eclipse of the sun and moon. Zoë now resides in uptown Athens.

Scott Bradley

Executive chef and owner

Scott Bradley

Originally from Southwest Ohio, Scott Bradley moved to Athens to study English Language and Literature at Ohio University and never left.

After stints as the chef at Glenlaurel Inn in Hocking County and a baker at Big Chimney Baking Co. in Canaanville, in 2004, Chef Bradley opened an eight-table restaurant focusing on local ingredients and labor-intensive techniques in the Eclipse Company Town. And so, Zoë Fine Dining began.

In 2008, Bradley moved Zoë to its present location in the heart of uptown Athens.

There is metered street parking directly outside of Zoë and a parking garage located on E Washington Street. Mill Street provides close meter-free parking.

Our staff advises on substitutions so that you end up with a delicious, refined, and safe dish every time. To each their own in life.

Our dining room allows space to move around and includes tables that are wheelchair accessible. We have room to store mobility devices while you eat. Service animals are always welcome. We have an accessible bathroom stall. Our staff is trained to accommodate anyone with accessibility needs and we welcome all to Zoë.

Our involvement in the Athens community also includes donating leftovers weekly to Athens Food Rescue, which redistributes the food to local charities.
